Exams are around the corner and I would like to start a series on sharing ideas of how I run review sessions with my class. But really, these review activity ideas can really be used at any time of the year.
Idea 1: Speed Dating
ft. Task Cards

🟠arrange the desk so students are facing each other
🟠have students assign themselves as “A” or “B”
🟠student “A” starts asking the question on the question card
🟠student “B” answers
🟠student “A” corrects them using the answer on the back of the card
🟠set a timer for a desired time and then rotate

I was quite pleased with how it turned out because the students who are normally more timid participated as well. They were more willing to give these questions a try because it was such a low stress task (ie. didn’t have to worry about looking “silly” even if they weren’t sure about the questions).

Give this a try and let me know what you think!
